For women CIC is a London based, not-for-profit organisation founded by women, for women.

Through various activities, which span from peer-to-peer talking groups, mental health and wellbeing sessions, mind and body exercise classes, group day trips and much more. We are dedicated to tackling loneliness and isolation and supporting women to not just live, but to thrive in life.

Inspiring Woman of
the Month
Amanda Gorman
Born in 1998, California, USA
an American poet, activist, and model. Her work focuses on issues of oppression, feminism, race and marginalisation, as well as the African diaspora.
Gorman's art and activism focus on issues of oppression, feminism, race and marginalization, as well as the African diaspora. She has said she was inspired to become a youth delegate for the United Nations in 2013 after watching a speech by Pakistani Nobel Prize laureate Malala Yousafzai. Gorman was chosen as the first youth poet laureate of Los Angeles in 2014.

Gorman read her poem "The Hill We Climb" at the inauguration of Joe Biden on January 20, 2021, and is the youngest poet to read at a presidential inauguration in United States history.
