Exercising Mindfully

Exercising Mindfully is a free, gentle, online exercise class that draws from the teachings of Tai Chi, Yoga and Pilates with the aim of increasing physical and mental health well-being.

This mindful movement programme is an introductory level course, suitable for women of all ages, different physical abilities, and levels of experience.

The work aims to build strength, balance and flexibility, to encourage a more supported posture. 

 

It also incorporates breathing and relaxation techniques that can help relieve feelings of worry and anxiety. 

 

Our aim is to empower women with a new, simple but effective exercise routine that can be easily adapted at home so they can create positive change and better manage their own well-being.

Iyengar Class

THE CLASS

- 50 minute, low- impact, exercises that focus on breathing exercises, deep relaxation, grounding and stretching. 

- 10 minute group feedback and reflection section

TAI CHI 

Tai-Chi combines deep breathing and relaxation with flowing movements. 

 

It is an ancient method for increasing energy and restoring health from illness.

 

Tai Chi can improve both lower and upper body strength and flexibility. It also helps improve balance.

Tai-Chi self massage helps encourage blood circulation and flow from head to toe.

YOGA

Yoga brings together physical and mental disciplines to achieve a peaceful body and mind.

 

It helps manage stress and anxiety, increases flexibility, muscle strength and body tone.

 

It improves respiration, energy, vitality and confidence.

PILATES

Pilates workouts promote strength and balanced muscle development, particularly for the abdominal muscles, lower back, hips and buttocks (the 'core' muscles of your body.)

 

It also helps with flexibility (by increasing the range of motion for the joints) and is also great for improving posture.
